We are so excited to have 4th Sunday back as Youth Sunday which started on April 22nd. It was a blessing to see our children's hand bell choir perform and the beautiful singing! The children's sermon, our teens taking over the announcements, ushering and reading of the scripture. How blessed we are to have our children and teens love the lord enough to carry on our worship service. We praise the parents and give credit to them for the support and encouragement they give to support all youth activities and their dedication for the love of Jesus! Our worship hour was a wonderful thing and thanks to all our leaders for a job well done!

New Hope Friends and it's people are proud to support the Meals On Wheels Program which serves Wayne Co. Many of our church people help deliver meals every day. They have the privilege of meeting people and helping to make a difference in their lives. A friendly face and conversation which might be the only one they will see that day. A good hot meal that they can count on and look forward to. Would you like to help. This group is currently seeking someone to join them and deliver meals every other Thursday's. If you are interested contact the church office at 919-778-2550 or see Bobby Trivette. Thank You!

Friends Emergency Materials Assistance Program is always in need of items for their school hygiene kits plus winter clothing items such as knitted toboggans, coats, gloves and blankets. This is an on going project of the USFW and if you would like to donate any items or kits please drop in the plastic container outside the Sunday School office. Thank You for your continued help for FEMAP!

Church Family Ministries are now making plans for Vacation Bible School which will be July 16th thru 19th. Make plans to bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. We are looking forwared to sharing Jesus with our young people. To insure that we offer the very best during Vacation Bible School, we need volunteers. If you would like to participate in Vacation Bible School as a teacher, an assistant teacher, helping with the refreshments and etc. please contact Suzanne Best. Thank You!

The second Tuesday in each month, a group of our Seniors meet to eat, enjoy a devotion and fellowship! They meet at a different place each month and the interest has grown. There will be other activities as they continue to meet and plan for the future. As the weather gets better and warmer they plan to take some day trips, as well as over night trips. If you would like to join them you are welcomed and encouraged to do so. If you have any questions or suggestions please contact Edie Mitchell.

May 7th at 7 PM at the Goldsboro YMCA, there will a gathering of people who believe that prayer is the answer to God's will for this nation. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Our children are such a blessing in our lives and are special to Jesus! Thanks to Michelle Jarman, our kids are sharing their talents with us at church. This is a very special time in our service! They play hand bells and sing for us and we are so proud!

A time for these children to learn and be taught by those who love them and who love Jesus! Please bring your children to church so they can experience the love and the Bible Stories brought to life in very special ways!

They visited a Rest Home on February 18th to spread God’s message thru bells,

singing, and those sweet smiles. Let Michelle know how much you appreciate it!

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME! We need your help again this summer as the New Hope Softball League begins preparation for this summer. We need volunteers to help run our concession stand. We ask that you take a week time slot, which means Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. You will prepare the hot dogs and chili, as well as sell the other concessions those evenings. The concession stand is air conditioned so you can stay cool during the hot summer months. Plus you can watch some great softball action each night, including your very own New Hope Friends softball team. The sign up sheet will be out after Easter Sunday so look at your calendars and sign up to help us with the concession stand! If you have questions please see Kevin Best or Jon Hoefer.

Our church committees have started planning for a new year and are making plans which will fill the calendar fast. We so appreciate the one's who work on each committee. We encourage you to fully support the committee or pograms you are on. This is so important and also encourages and sets a good example for others. You have always heard that there is strength in numbers and this is so true. It is through our programs that keelp our church alive and growing. So if you have committed your help in any of thest committees we are trusting you will fill this obligation.

The youth are selling 2018 calendars again this year. The cost is still $10 and they only have 25 so if you would like to have one for yourself or for a gift there are only 25 available.

We hope everyone will put forth the effort to be here to support this new class.
