"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!" (Psalm 103:1 ESV). What do we do when we dont feel like blessing the Lord? What do we do when we dont feel like being a part of the fellowship of believers? We do as David did in Psalm 103 and remind ourselves of the God that we serve. We remind ourselves of Gods faithfulness to His people throughout the generations. We remind ourselves of Gods goodness to us, a frail and weak people. We remind ourselves that there is truly a great joy in the fellowship we have with God and with other believers. There have been times in the few months that Megan and I have been at this church where we have had to remind ourselves of the great joy that we have because of Jesus, especially in the joy in being a part of His church. We have found such a great joy in the fellowship that we have been sharing with the people of our church. We have found such a joy in that fellowship that prepares us for the daily grind and for the struggles that come in life. My prayer for all who read this would be that they would find that sweet joy found in fellowship with Jesus and fellowship with other believers. As we head into the fall season, with its busyness, let us not forget the joy that we have in ourfellowship with Christ and the joy that we can have in the fellowship with other believers. As we go into our fall season, we will be transitioning to a new sermon series that will encourage us to find joy in fellowship—fellowship with Christ and fellowship with each other. You will not want to miss as we work our way through Philippians in the series,

    The Joy of Fellowship.
